Thanks to the good folks at The Futon Critic I have been made aware of a bunch of shows that were cancelled or ended and aren't returning for 2006-07. Good riddance to many, but some of them I found interesting or surprising, or I just felt like pointing them out to you.· AIRLINE (A_AND_E)I loved this show when it came out. Real life behind the scenes at Southwest Airlines. It was kind of cool to see the insanity that these people deal with. More accurately, the insane passengers they deal with. But eventually, it got boring because the issues were all the same. Usually drunk passengers.· ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (FOX)Now that I am addicted to the show and love it. It's gone.· BERNIE MAC SHOW, THE (FOX)I never watched it. I don't like him. But thought it was doing okay.· BONDS ON BONDS (ESPN)ha! yeah...· CHAPPELLE'S SHOW (COMEDY_CENTRAL)I don't blame him. I remember when he was just getting discovered back in 1995 in the Aspen Comedy Festival with Anthony Clark and Dave Attel. Funny. Take some time off dude.· CHARMED (WB)No more Shannon? Did anybody watch this crap?· COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF (ABC)Woman president? Cool. Gina Davis? Please...· CURRENT AFFAIR, A (SYNDICATION)10 years too late. · EVERWOOD (WB)Dawsons Creek 2· FEAR FACTOR (NBC)A reality show biting the dust! Joe Rogan will always be Joe Girelli to me. Long live News Radio!· FOUR KINGS (NBC)I actually tried to watch this and convince myself it would be good. That was so hard.· JOEY (NBC)I admit it. Being a Friends fan I enjoyed Joey. It wasn't Friends but it helped fill the void. Favorite moment on this show is when Joey went out in front of his apartment where Alex had arranged a fake snowfall with a machine that used spuds. He sat down by himself to ponder his love for Alex and then pulled a fork out of his pocket and started eating the potato snow. This was a nice hommage to the episode of Friends when Joey comes home to see Chandler and Rachel eating a pie off the floor in the hallway and Joey sits down and pulls a fork out of his pocket and says, "Alright... what are we having?"· MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE (FOX)Man I hated this show.· TEACHERS (NBC)I think this show had potential but just didn't catch at the right moment. I watched it and liked a lot of the characters.· THAT '70S SHOW (FOX)I never got this show. It was very predictable and not that funny to me. I'm probably not the demographic for it but still... At least it was better than That 80's Show· TONY DANZA SHOW, THE (SYNDICATION)Again... ha ha ha!· TOO LATE WITH ADAM CAROLLA (COMEDY_CENTRAL)Another guy I cannot stand. Who the hell gave this guy the idea that a) he was funny b) he has the authority to give his opinion about anything c) anyone cares what he has to say?· WEST WING, THE (NBC)Like Arrested Development, I didn't get into this until later. John Spencers death was very unfortunate. But the show had a great run. Endured a poor writing spell, came back and finished on top. I'm psyched for Aaron Sorkin's new venture Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. · WILL & GRACE (NBC)This show was funny like 8 years ago. Talk about overstaying ones welcome. They should have cancelled this show a long time ago. It was great once. · YES, DEAR (CBS)I didn't watch this show much but it was mildly funny. I'm a big fan of Anthony Clark, though this role was pretty lame for him. He was much better on Boston Common and even better as a stand-up comedian. He'll find something else though. Everyone loves a sweet looking hick from Gladys, VA. "If you only got one year to live, go to Gladys, VA cause every day there feels like a fucking eternity" I think I watch too much TV.
